Like many other worms, VBS.Homemade@mm sends email to everyone in the Microsoft Outlook Address Book. After doing so, it adds a registry key so that the action is not performed more than once.

The worm spreads as:

Message: You have to see this its unbelible
Attachment: Movie.avi.pif

To remove this worm:
  1. Run LiveUpdate to make sure that you have the most recent virus definitions.
  2. Start Norton AntiVirus (NAV), and run a full system scan, making sure that NAV is set to scan all files.
  3. Delete any files detected as VBS.Homemade@mm.
