severity malicious code

This field (formerly urgency) rates how damaging the action taken by the malicious code is. Severity is rated on a scale of 0 (low) to 10 (high). The rating of a malicious code's severity depends on what security properties and system objects an organization finds more important. Severity is based on the malicious code's effect on the following: availability (malicious code), confidentiality, and/or integrity.
